Grow herbs on your kitchen window sill, simply snip off the fresh flavours you need to add to your favourite dishes. Herbs are easy to grow in containers or pots on a warm sunny spot on your kitchen window sill. Choose the herbs you love to eat, some simple edible choices are: chives, parsley, coriander, tarragon, rosemary, thyme, basil and oregano.
You will need:
Containers or pots
Multi purpose compost
A watering can
Labels to write the name the herbs
Fill the containers or pots with multi purpose compost, fill each container or pot to within 2 – 3 cm of the rim of the container or pot. Sow the seeds evenly over the compost, lightly press the seeds into the compost. Herbs grown in containers or pots will require routine watering and feeding, ensure the compost is kept moist and add to your new kitchen window sill garden. Once on your bright and sunny kitchen window sill, you will have fresh flavours for months to come, snipping and using often will only encourage them to grow. Happy herb growing !
