14th February Valentine’s Day is fast approaching soon,so here is a quick and easy recipe, for these delicious biscuits to make for someone special or for all the family to enjoy.
Makes twelve heart shaped biscuits.
100 grams softened butter
50 grams caster sugar
170 grams plain flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ready made pink and white icing sugar
1.Preheat the oven 180* C/ Gas Mark 4.
2.Line two baking trays with non-stick paper.
3.Beat together the butter and caster sugar in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
4.Add the teaspoon of vanilla extract and blend in the flour to make a firm smooth dough.
5.On a lightly floured surface gently knead the dough together.
6.Roll out to 1/4 inch even thickness,with a well floured heart shaped cutter cut out the twelve hearts.
7.Carefully transfer to the two lined baking trays and bake for 12-15 minutes.
8.Leave to cool on the baking trays for several minutes before transferring on to a wire cooling rack.
9.Once the heart shaped biscuits are completely cooled,decorate each heart shaped biscuit with the ready made pink and white icing sugar.
