Selwyn is the bedroom we recommend when you want a handleless wardrobe without the chamfer-rail compromise. Instead of a horizontal J-pull running across the elevation, the handle is sculpted vertically into the edge of each door — a slim recess your fingers fall into when you push the door open. From across the room the wardrobe run reads as a single calm painted plane; up close, the sculpted edge gives just enough shadow line to stop the front looking blank.

Strong choice for principal bedrooms in modern extensions, loft conversions and apartment master suites — rooms where the wardrobes need to recede into the architecture rather than announce themselves with hardware. The matt finish absorbs light, so even darker shades (Carbon, Graphite, Ives Blue) settle into the room without overpowering it; the off-whites (Porcelain, Cashmere, Chalk) sit beautifully against panelled walls and chalky wallpapers.

Mirrored doors, glass feature panels and full-height runs

Any door in the Selwyn elevation can be specified with a mirrored centre or a clear-glass feature panel — the sculpted-edge frame stays put, only the panel changes. We use the mirrored option routinely on the central pair of a four- or six-door run to bounce daylight back into rooms with a single-window aspect. Doors are available in full-height variants so floor-to-ceiling wardrobe runs sit without a splice line, and the sculpted handle runs the full door height so tall doors feel ergonomically right rather than top-heavy.

Colourways

Selwyn carries our broadest bedroom palette — 28 standard painted colourways, from Porcelain, Cashmere and Chalk through to Sage, Copse Green, Hartforth Blue, Ives Blue, Carbon and Graphite. Two of the most-specified Selwyn colourways — Sage and Taupe Grey — are shown below. A 35-colour paint-to-order palette is also available for matching to existing wall colours, joinery or a brand reference; lead time extends by around four to six weeks for bespoke colour. The full palette is on display at our Chester and Warrington showrooms alongside the rest of the Deelux bedroom collection.
