Maybury Beaded — Chunky painted beaded shaker
Fitted bedroom range
A chunkier beaded shaker wardrobe with a deeper frame — rich green and warm earthy colourways for characterful country interiors.
Maybury Beaded is the bedroom range we recommend when the wardrobes should look like considered period joinery rather than fitted units — solid-timber shaker doors with the kind of substance and character that reads as proper furniture even from across the room. The narrow-frame beaded shaker profile is built from real timber (rather than an engineered substrate) and finished with a quality matt overpainted surface; up close the distinctive ash-grain texture shows softly through the paint and gives a wardrobe run the kind of hand-made feel that flat-finished doors can’t reach.
Strong choice for country homes — Cheshire farmhouses, Edwardian and Victorian houses with high ceilings, listed cottages with thick walls and exposed beams, converted barns — where you want the wardrobes to hold their own against original cornices, panelled walls or feature wallpapers. Equally at home in transitional new-builds with herringbone flooring and panelled headboard walls. The timber face is the right canvas for the more saturated end of the palette (Copse Green, Reed Green, Hartforth Blue, Carbon) where a foil-finished shaker would feel underweight.
Built on our standard 8–10 week lead. The two most-specified shades — Cashmere and Copse Green — are pictured below; the additional palette of Reed Green, Fawn, Stone, Taupe Grey, Hartforth Blue and Carbon is on display at our Chester and Warrington showrooms as full-size sample doors. Bespoke paint-matching to a Farrow & Ball or Little Greene reference is available on request — useful when you want the wardrobes to disappear into a feature paint colour on the bedroom walls.
Door panels are available in widths of 297, 397, 447, 497, 597 and 697 mm and in heights from 140 mm bedside-drawer fronts up to 2250 mm full-height wardrobe doors — floor-to-ceiling without a splice joint. Matching plinths (100, 150 or 200 mm), cornices, light pelmets and end panels are colour-matched and supplied as standard accessories so the wardrobe run reads as a single piece of furniture rather than a stack of cabinets. Interior fittings (hanging rails, drawer banks, soft-close shoe cubbies, internal LED lighting) are specified per-cabinet at the design stage.
The most-specified Maybury Beaded colourways shown below. The full palette — including the made-to-order range — is available to view at our Chester and Warrington showrooms.
