Midnight Blue is the classic "Georgian navy" — a deep, slightly grey blue that behaves almost as a neutral once it is in the room. It is the blue we fit most often in traditional hand-painted Shaker kitchens, and one of the strongest dark-colour choices for a period property.

In a Deelux kitchen, Midnight Blue is hand-painted and factory matt, and it suits either modern handleless or traditional Shaker ranges. Within our collection, Midnight Blue appears on ranges including Brackenbury Oak & Painted Collection, Falconbrook In-Frame, Deedale and Sensia. Because every cabinet is built and finished at our own Winsford factory in Cheshire, we can paint Midnight Blue across the full collection — including on bespoke larder, pantry and island designs that are not on the standard range page.

Midnight Blue is a colour that rewards careful pairing. For worktops, we usually specify a veined white quartz, a warm oak butcher-block island or honed marble; for handles, antique brass cup handles, aged bronze or brushed nickel; and underfoot, wide-plank oak, honed limestone or Yorkstone flags all work well. Midnight Blue is also very commonly chosen as a two-tone — pairs beautifully with Cashmere, Porcelain or Cream wall units. Your designer will bring door, worktop and handle samples to your consultation so you can see the combinations in hand before committing.

Every Midnight Blue Deelux kitchen is bespoke — no flat-pack, no off-the-shelf units. Each cabinet is cut, drilled, edged, painted and assembled to your exact plans at our Winsford factory, with 18mm solid backs, screwed (not dowelled) construction, soft-close Blum hinges and our fifteen-year cabinet guarantee.
