A matt Deelux kitchen is the modern finish most homeowners gravitate to once they see both side by side — softer than gloss, kinder to fingerprints, and the finish that photographs best across the widest range of lighting. Matt does not bounce light back at you; it absorbs it and gives it back softened, which is why a matt kitchen feels calmer in the room even when the colour itself is bold.

Within our collection, matt lives in two modern ranges: Sensia, our factory-finished smooth-front door; and Pollino True Handleless, a continuous J-pull door — both available in matching matt and gloss palettes so you can mix a matt lower run with a gloss wall run on the same colour without any tonal drift. We also supply the full range of hand-painted Shaker and in-frame kitchens in a matt-eggshell finish — Brackenbury Oak & Painted Collection, Deedale, Falconbrook In-Frame and Mardale T&G are all routinely specified in matt.

Matt is the most forgiving finish for family kitchens: handprints, splashes and light scuffs read far less than on gloss, and dry-wipe cleaning is enough for daily maintenance. It is also the finish we recommend most often for deeper colours — Graphite, Indigo, Midnight Blue, Fern and Botanical Green all read better in matt than gloss because the colour stays saturated under changing light. Typical pairings: a veined white or warm quartz worktop, a handleless J-pull or brushed-brass T-bar, and a large-format pale porcelain or engineered-oak floor.

Every matt Deelux kitchen is bespoke — whether the finish is a factory-applied matt lacquer or a hand-painted matt eggshell, the cabinets behind the doors are cut, drilled, edged and assembled to your exact floorplan at our own Winsford factory, with 18mm solid backs, screwed (not dowelled) construction, soft-close Blum hinges and our fifteen-year cabinet guarantee. Lead times are 8–10 weeks on factory-finished matt ranges and 10–14 weeks on hand-painted matt eggshell.
