Bespoke Media Walls — Designed, Built and Fitted in Cheshire
Deelux Kitchens designs and builds bespoke media walls across Cheshire and Wrexham, in any of our painted shaker, smooth-shaker, handleless slab and soft-touch matt door ranges. Every wall is built around your TV, electric fire and AV equipment — carcasses screwed (never glued) in our own Cheshire workshop by Andy Jervis, and project-managed by Mike Jervis from first visit to final snag.
Because media walls share the same carcasses and use the same door makers as our fitted kitchens and bedrooms, you can colour-match an existing Deelux room exactly — or pick from any of the door ranges below, in their standard colourways or hand-painted to your spec in any RAL, Farrow & Ball or Little Greene colour.

Every media wall is bespoke — these are the features we build into ours as standard. Mix and match what you need.
TV recess
Sized exactly to your TV (typically 55–85 inch) with a sympathetic margin and concealed cable runs
Electric flame fire
Horizontal slot fire or inset firebox — supplied and wired in by us, or wired around your chosen unit
LED ambient lighting
Recessed LED strip behind shelves and around the TV niche, dimmable, controlled by switch or remote
Display shelving
Open shelves in solid oak, painted MDF or both, internally lit on request
Glazed display cabinets
Internally lit upper cabinets with glass doors for books, vinyl, ceramics or whisky
Concealed AV storage
Base cupboards with vented backs and IR-passing doors for set-top boxes, soundbars and consoles
Integrated cable management
Internal cable trays and brush-grommets so nothing is on show — HDMI, power and aerial routed back to the recess
Soft-close cabinets
The same screwed (never glued) cabinets we use in our kitchens — Blum soft-close hinges and runners as standard
Chimney-breast detailing
Profiled cornice, scribed pilasters and skirting to match the room — built around alcoves, beams and existing skirting
Made-to-order colour
Available in each range’s standard colourways, or made to order in any RAL, Farrow & Ball or Little Greene colour — hand-painted to your specification by our door makers
How a Deelux media wall project runs
- Home design visit — Mike Jervis visits to measure the room, look at the TV, fire and AV equipment you want to integrate, and discuss layout and door style. Free across Cheshire and Wrexham, no obligation.
- Layout drawings — Your designer drafts the layout — TV recess size and position, fire opening, shelves, cabinets, lighting — and sends it back to you to mark up.
- Photoreal 3D visual — Once layout and door style are agreed, we produce a photoreal 3D visual of the finished media wall in your chosen colour and finish. Included free with every order.
- Carcass build in Cheshire — Andy Jervis builds the carcasses in our own Cheshire workshop — screwed (never glued), the same way we build our kitchens. Doors arrive hand-painted to your colour spec by our door makers, or factory-finished in a laminated / soft-touch finish where you have chosen one. Everything is quality-checked at the workshop before delivery.
- Installation — A typical media wall installs in 3–5 working days. We coordinate the electrician for the fire, LED drivers, sockets and aerial work — or work around your tradespeople.
- Snag visit and handover — We walk through the finished wall with you and resolve any snags raised within 30 days of handover at no cost.
Pricing guide
Deelux media walls start at £2,500 fully installed — that price includes plastering the wall on completion, which most other media-wall makers charge extra for.
Most projects land between £2,500 and £12,000 supplied, fitted and plastered, depending on size, door style, colour, glazed cabinets, LED lighting, electric fire and electrical works.
Every project is quoted on the room, your equipment and the door style — we give you a full quote after the home design visit, so you know the full cost up front.
See our published kitchen pricing for a sense of how we price by range.
Lead time
8–10 weeks from sign-off to installation is typical. The on-site build is usually 3–5 working days, depending on size and electrical works.
If you have a TV launch, a Christmas deadline or a wider house project to align with, mention it at the design visit — we will tell you what is achievable.
Frequently asked questions
Do you actually make media walls?
Yes. Deelux designs bespoke media walls and builds the carcasses in our own Cheshire workshop — the same screwed (never glued) cabinets we use in our kitchens and fitted bedrooms. The doors come from the same trade door makers as our kitchen and bedroom ranges, hand-painted to your colour spec or supplied with a factory-applied laminated finish. We design, build, deliver and install across Cheshire and Wrexham.
I do not see photos of finished media walls — why?
Most of the media walls we have built so far have been part of larger kitchen or living-space projects, so they are not photographed as standalone walls. The visualisations on this page show how our existing painted door ranges look applied to a media-wall layout — your finished wall will be photographed for our portfolio if you are happy for us to do so.
What door styles can I have on a Deelux media wall?
Any of our painted shaker, smooth-shaker, handleless slab or soft-touch matt door ranges — Bramley Beaded, Bramley Smooth, Bramley Woodgrain, Fairford, Haxby and Maybury Beaded for shaker; Pendleton, Selwyn and Tamora Soft-Matte for handleless and slab. We can also build in any other Deelux door style and order it hand-painted in any RAL, Farrow & Ball or Little Greene colour from our door makers.
Can you fit a TV recess and electric fire into the wall?
Yes. We design the recess to fit your specific TV (typically 55 to 85 inch) and the fire to a recess size of your choice — horizontal slot fires and inset fireboxes are both standard. We coordinate the electrician for fire wiring, LED drivers, sockets and aerial points, or work around your tradespeople.
How much does a Deelux media wall cost?
Deelux media walls start at £2,500 fully installed, which includes plastering the wall on completion — something most other media-wall makers charge extra for. Most projects land between £2,500 and £12,000 supplied, fitted and plastered, depending on size, door style, colour, glazed cabinets, LED lighting, electric fire and whether we coordinate the electrician. We give you a full quote — not an itemised parts list — after the home design visit, so you know the full cost up front.
How long is the lead time?
Typical lead time is 8 to 10 weeks from sign-off to installation. The build itself usually takes 3 to 5 working days on site, depending on size and electrical works.
Can the media wall match an existing Deelux kitchen?
Yes — that is one of the most popular reasons people order one. We hold the door range, finish and exact paint reference for every kitchen and bedroom we have built, so we can re-order the matching door style and colour even years later.
Where do you install media walls?
We design, manufacture and install media walls across Cheshire and Wrexham, served from our showrooms in Chester and Warrington. Get in touch if you are just outside that area — we will let you know if we can help.
Is the media wall covered by the 15-year cabinetry guarantee?
Yes. The carcasses we use in media walls are the same carcasses we use in our kitchens, so they are covered by our 15-year cabinetry guarantee against manufacturing defects in normal domestic use. Doors, electric fires and AV equipment carry their own manufacturer warranties, which we hand over on completion.
Can Deelux supply only, without installation?
Yes. While most customers choose the full service, we can supply only if you have a preferred installer. The 15-year cabinetry guarantee still applies. The TV recess and fire opening need to be agreed up front so we can manufacture to exact dimensions.
