Traditional kitchens, built in our Winsford factory

A traditional Deelux kitchen is the opposite end of the same craft — a hand-painted Shaker or in-frame design built by the same team, in the same factory, but detailed for character rather than minimalism. Think solid-timber dovetailed drawers, Shaker frame doors, mantel cookers, oak butcher-block islands, beaded in-frame cabinetry and the kind of cup handles and pewter knobs you want to hold every time you open a drawer.

Within our collection, the traditional look lives in our painted and in-frame ranges: Brackenbury Oak & Painted Collection for a classic painted Shaker with the option of real oak doors on the island; Deedale for a cleaner, simpler Shaker front; Falconbrook In-Frame for full beaded in-frame cabinetry with a dedicated painted finish; Mardale T&G for tongue-and-groove detailing on the door panels; and Mollingdon and Maidstone for alternative painted-Shaker profiles. These doors are hand-painted in our Winsford workshop in any colour from our standard palette — or in a bespoke match to a Farrow & Ball, Little Greene or RAL reference of your choice.

The most-specified traditional palette pairs a Cashmere, Cream or Porcelain wall run with an island in Midnight Blue, Fern or Indigo; tops it with a honed oak butcher-block or a warm-veined quartz; and finishes it with antique brass cup handles, aged bronze knobs or forged iron. Because the painting is done in-house rather than factory-spray on a pre-finished blank, the finish is genuinely repairable — scuffs and knocks can be touched up in the same paint, years later, without a visible patch.

Every traditional Deelux kitchen is bespoke — no flat-pack, no off-the-shelf units, no generic paint codes. Cabinets are cut, drilled, edged, painted and assembled to your exact floorplan at our own Winsford factory, with 18mm solid backs, screwed (not dowelled) construction, soft-close Blum hinges and our fifteen-year cabinet guarantee. Lead times on traditional ranges are typically 10–14 weeks from signed order to installed kitchen — a little longer than our modern ranges because hand-painted doors are physically painted, flatted, recoated and cured before they leave the factory.
