Dakar kitchens from Deelux

Dakar is a warm, sandy neutral — lighter than Taupe, more pigmented than Cashmere, and one of the gentler natural tones in our range. It suits cottage and coastal kitchens particularly well.

In a Deelux kitchen, Dakar is hand-painted, and it suits a traditional Shaker kitchen. Within our collection, Dakar appears on ranges including Brackenbury Oak & Painted Collection, Deedale and Falconbrook In-Frame. Because every cabinet is built and finished at our own Winsford factory in Cheshire, we can paint Dakar across the full collection — including on bespoke larder, pantry and island designs that are not on the standard range page.

Dakar is a colour that rewards careful pairing. For worktops, we usually specify a warm white quartz, honed oak or a pale limestone; for handles, antique brass cup handles, ceramic knobs or aged nickel; and underfoot, wide-plank oak or a tumbled limestone all work well. Dakar is also very commonly chosen as a two-tone — pairs with Cream, Cashmere or a deeper Midnight Blue island. Your designer will bring door, worktop and handle samples to your consultation so you can see the combinations in hand before committing.
