Cream is the classic English country-kitchen colour — warmer than white, softer than yellow, and the colour most homeowners picture when they say they want a "painted kitchen". It sits especially well in older properties, period cottages and anywhere with solid oak or stone floors.

In a Deelux kitchen, Cream is hand-painted across our Shaker and in-frame ranges, and it suits a traditional Shaker kitchen. Within our collection, Cream appears on ranges including Brackenbury Oak & Painted Collection, Falconbrook In-Frame and Deedale. Because every cabinet is built and finished at our own Winsford factory in Cheshire, we can paint Cream across the full collection — including on bespoke larder, pantry and island designs that are not on the standard range page.

Cream is a colour that rewards careful pairing. For worktops, we usually specify honed oak, a warm quartz with subtle gold veining or a solid timber island top; for handles, antique brass cup handles, ceramic knobs or aged pewter; and underfoot, reclaimed oak, aged limestone flags or a honed travertine all work well. Cream is also very commonly chosen as a two-tone — traditionally paired with an oak dresser run or a deeper sage or navy island. Your designer will bring door, worktop and handle samples to your consultation so you can see the combinations in hand before committing.

Every Cream Deelux kitchen is bespoke — no flat-pack, no off-the-shelf units. Each cabinet is cut, drilled, edged, painted and assembled to your exact plans at our Winsford factory, with 18mm solid backs, screwed (not dowelled) construction, soft-close Blum hinges and our fifteen-year cabinet guarantee. Cream is a living colour — it warms in evening light, so we always recommend viewing it under both daytime and lamplight before ordering. To see Cream painted up, book a free design visit at our Chester or Warrington showroom — or download the brochure to browse the full collection at home.
