Noir is our true black — dense, saturated and not pretending to be a very dark grey. We fit it most often on islands and as a feature tall-unit run, where you want the cabinetry to read as a defined architectural block against a lighter wall.

In a Deelux kitchen, Noir is factory matt or hand-painted, and it suits a modern handleless kitchen. Within our collection, Noir appears on ranges including Sensia, Pollino True Handleless and Brackenbury Oak & Painted Collection. Because every cabinet is built and finished at our own Winsford factory in Cheshire, we can paint Noir across the full collection — including on bespoke larder, pantry and island designs that are not on the standard range page.

Noir is a colour that rewards careful pairing. For worktops, we usually specify a veined white quartz, a thick oak butcher-block island or a polished Dekton; for handles, brushed brass, aged bronze or handleless; and underfoot, limed oak, pale porcelain or a honed limestone all work well. Noir is also very commonly chosen as a two-tone — typically paired with a much lighter upper run — Porcelain, Cashmere or White. Your designer will bring door, worktop and handle samples to your consultation so you can see the combinations in hand before committing.

Every Noir Deelux kitchen is bespoke — no flat-pack, no off-the-shelf units. Each cabinet is cut, drilled, edged, painted and assembled to your exact plans at our Winsford factory, with 18mm solid backs, screwed (not dowelled) construction, soft-close Blum hinges and our fifteen-year cabinet guarantee. Because Noir is so absorptive, lighting design matters — we will usually recommend adding under-cabinet and internal drawer LEDs to a Noir specification.
