Oak is our natural timber door — a real-wood Shaker front with the grain, knots and colour variation you only get from solid timber. It is the door for anyone who wants the kitchen to read as a piece of joinery rather than a painted surface.
In a Deelux kitchen, Oak is solid timber, lacquered or oiled, and it suits either modern handleless or traditional Shaker ranges. Within our collection, Oak appears on ranges including Brackenbury Oak & Painted Collection and Deedale. Because every cabinet is built and finished at our own Winsford factory in Cheshire, we can paint Oak across the full collection — including on bespoke larder, pantry and island designs that are not on the standard range page.
Oak is a colour that rewards careful pairing. For worktops, we usually specify a veined white quartz, a polished granite or a contrasting painted island top; for handles, antique brass cup handles, aged bronze or forged iron; and underfoot, wide-plank oak or a honed limestone all work well. Oak is also very commonly chosen as a two-tone — most often combined with a painted island in Cream, Sage or Midnight Blue. Your designer will bring door, worktop and handle samples to your consultation so you can see the combinations in hand before committing.
Every Oak Deelux kitchen is bespoke — no flat-pack, no off-the-shelf units. Each cabinet is cut, drilled, edged, painted and assembled to your exact plans at our Winsford factory, with 18mm solid backs, screwed (not dowelled) construction, soft-close Blum hinges and our fifteen-year cabinet guarantee.
