Sage is the softer, greyer cousin of Fern — a pale, chalky green-grey that reads almost neutral against oak flooring and white walls. It is a quietly confident colour choice for anyone who wants a painted Shaker kitchen that feels fresh rather than period, and one of the best colours we paint if your room is slightly light-starved.
In a Deelux kitchen, Sage is available across our hand-painted Shaker ranges and our factory-finished matt options, and it suits either modern handleless or traditional Shaker ranges. Within our collection, Sage appears on ranges including Brackenbury Oak & Painted Collection, Deedale and Falconbrook In-Frame. Because every cabinet is built and finished at our own Winsford factory in Cheshire, we can paint Sage across the full collection — including on bespoke larder, pantry and island designs that are not on the standard range page.
Sage is a colour that rewards careful pairing. For worktops, we usually specify a warm white quartz, honed Carrara or an oiled oak island top; for handles, brushed brass, satin nickel or simple turned wooden knobs; and underfoot, reclaimed oak boards or a large-format porcelain tile in travertine tones all work well. Sage is also very commonly chosen as a two-tone — pairs naturally with Porcelain, Cashmere or a deeper Fern island. Your designer will bring door, worktop and handle samples to your consultation so you can see the combinations in hand before committing.
Every Sage Deelux kitchen is bespoke — no flat-pack, no off-the-shelf units. Each cabinet is cut, drilled, edged, painted and assembled to your exact plans at our Winsford factory, with 18mm solid backs, screwed (not dowelled) construction, soft-close Blum hinges and our fifteen-year cabinet guarantee. Sage shifts subtly with the light — cooler on a grey morning, warmer at golden hour — which is exactly why it photographs so well. Common questions
How much does a Deelux kitchen cost?
Compact modern kitchens start at £7,500 supplied and fitted. Most customers sit between £11,000 and £20,000 for a medium L-shape or island kitchen. Hand-painted in-frame ranges run up to £35,000+.
Do you offer finance?
No. Deelux does not offer finance, credit or monthly payments. Deposit on sign-off, balance on delivery and installation — no APR, no upsell pressure.
How long from order to installation?
8–10 weeks for modern ranges, 10–14 weeks for hand-painted in-frame, from signed order to installed kitchen.
Where are your kitchens made?
Every cabinet is built in our own factory in Winsford, Cheshire. Nothing is imported or outsourced.
Can I visit a showroom?
Yes — our three Cheshire showrooms are in Chester, Nantwich and Warrington. Open Monday–Saturday, 10:00–17:00.
